About Halal Shops

Halal Shops is Ireland's dedicated directory for halal butchers, groceries, supermarkets and ethnic food shops across all 26 counties. We help the Muslim community — and anyone who shops halal — find the right shop close to them, with opening hours, photos, reviews and directions for every listing.

How listings are chosen

Listings are compiled from each shop's own public business information and reviewed against simple rules: butchers appear only when there is halal evidence in their name or their customers' reviews, and any business whose reviews point clearly away from halal is excluded. Mainstream supermarket chains are left out — this directory is for the independent shops that actually serve halal customers.

We do not certify anyone, and we never invent a halal claim. A Verified badge appears only when we hold recorded halal evidence for a business; most listings carry no badge at all. Always confirm halal status directly with the shop — and if you spot an error, tell us on the contact page and we will fix it.

Shop owners can submit their listing for free. Submissions go into a review queue — we check the details before publishing.
